Take me apart,
atom by atom
And throw me to the wind.
If that be Your will,
Lord I’m okay.

For I know I’m needy
Probably wearing You out,
with my petty needs, troubles and doubts.
Lord if You tire of me
Throw me to the wind.

For I’ve seen the world, and the velvet illusion,
that covers the thorns, but won’t stop their intrusion…
That’s not for me.
So my hard over soul, with these scars and contusions,
I lay in Your hand and wait there for the wind.
And wait there for the wind.

Lord crush my will,
when it flowers.
When I can’t see Your hand,
in all that’s in the wind,
for all that’s in the wind.

Full surrender is power.
Clearly not mine.
Let any who see,
praise Your Glory Divine,
Lord lose me in the wind.

For I’ve seen the world, and the velvet illusion,
that covers the thorns, but won’t stop their intrusion…
That’s not for me.
So my hard over soul, with these scars and contusions,
I lay in Your hand and wait there for the wind,
And wait there for the wind.

And when the winds
forever go still.
I will fall in Your hand
Beneathe Your perfect will
Lord I’m okay.
