I’ve been praying for clouds with no rain.
Been praying you break me with strain.
Been praying Your will, will be done.
Be it easy, be it hard, be it the only one.

For I’m so quick to take my bows.
For any good I think I’ve done
When we both know there’s not a thread of good in me
No, not a single one.

Lord I’d give my life You to weave
And pray You help me to believe
That when this tapestry is done,
be it plain, be it bright, be it perfect in Your sight.

But I’m still quick to guide your hand,
from my seat here in the dark.
A piece of me I think I’ve come to understand’
keeps saying “boy you better make your mark.”

But any mark from me is vain.
Only Your glory will remain.
My pride of life please entomb.
And that grave never exhume.
I’ve seen the world come and go.
Or I should say it’s seen me ya know.
My time went quicker then it seemed
Thank God I meet the end redeemed

I pray You come again soon.
I sing hallelujah and amen.
I pray I meet You real soon.
I sing Hosanna my friend!
I sing Hosanna my friend!
I sing Hosanna…
I sing Hosanna…
my friend!
