Lord I’m really lost right now.
I need Your help I don’t know how,
to tell this to You any other way.
I lost my who, what, when and how.
I looked for them and then somehow,
it seems my why slipped away.
I know You don’t need my cute little rhymes,
to tell You what’s been on my mind.
You see it all, everyday.
Was I made to sit in cube C4,
watch the clock, and pray for the door,
or did You make another way?
I ask You here face to face,
to help me in this troubled space.
Now it seems I know what to pray.
I need Your faith that took You to the cross.
I need Your hope that suffered through the loss.
I need Your love that won the victory.
I need You,
I don’t need me.
Lord I try to walk the walk,
Tame my tongue and talk the talk.
But I know I still fall.
I’d be slow to speak and quick to hear,
keep Your word in my ear.
Lord, help me through it all.
I need Your faith that took You to the cross.
I need Your hope that suffered through the loss.
I need Your love that won the victory.
I need You,
I don’t need me.
